Getting Started

The early game in Forge of Empires is all about growing steadily without wasting resources. Try not to rush through ages too quickly.

Strong guilds massively speed up progress. Free forge points every day from your town hall. Guild support and tips, blueprints, medals and forge points from 1.9 thread which will be essential later.

Forge Points Explained

Forge Points (FPs) are the most valuable resource in the game. They are used for:

Never spend FPs carelessly on random Great Buildings.

As a beginner, Arc should become one of your long-term goals.

A good guild is the difference between slow progress and rapid growth.

Recommended Great Buildings

Arc

The Arc boosts rewards from other players' Great Buildings, helps store Forge Points (FPs), and gives goods for the guild's treasury. Most guilds and experienced players consider it essential.

Zeus / Cathederal of Aachen (CoA) / Castel del Monte (CdM)

These improve attack strength and are extremely valuable early.

Avoid Overbuilding

Do not build every Great Building you unlock. Many are inefficient for beginners.

1.9 Threads Explained

A 1.9 thread is a guild system used to safely level Great Buildings.

The owner of the building contributes enough Forge Points to “lock” reward spots. Guild members then add Forge Points to secure positions using Arc bonuses.

Why is it called 1.9?

Because players with a level 80 Arc receive 1.9x rewards. Example:

Guild 1.9 threads require understanding to calculate the exact safe amount needed.

Never add random amounts in a 1.9 thread. Always use the posted numbers.

  1. Enter the building owner’s Arc bonus
  2. Enter your own Arc bonus
  3. Type current Forge Points invested
  4. Enter remaining Forge Points needed
  5. The calculator shows safe positions and costs

This helps avoid losing Forge Points and teaches how locking positions works.

Most advanced players use calculators constantly while participating in 1.9 threads.
